| 香港強脊會的前身是附屬於香港傷健協會的「強脊社」，是一個由強直性脊椎炎病患者自發組成的非牟利組織。香港強脊會於1994年根據社團條例註冊成立。 | The Association, formerly named as Ankylosing Spondylitis Group under the Hong Kong PHAB Association, is a non-profit making organization founded by a group of patients suffering from Ankylosing Spondylitis. The Association was set up in 1994 and registered under the Societies Ordinance. | ||

| 以同路人的角色，協助病患者積極地面對強直性脊椎炎。目標為： - 提高會員的自助自立精神 - 聯絡及增進會員間的關懷和幫助 - 向公眾人士介紹及展示會員本身的工作能力 - 向有關機構爭取合理的權益及援助 - 向會員及公眾人士介紹強直性脊椎炎和醫藥資訊 | The Association aims to support patients with ankylosing spondylities and share experiences in coping with the disease positively. The objectives are : - to strengthen the concept of self-help, self independence and self confidence among members - to build an efficient network for members and their family members in order to enhance mutual help and communication - to promote the images of self independence and working ability of members to the public - to solicit support and funds from related welfare/voluntary associations for the services provided and the growth of the Association - to provide information about ankylosing spondylitis and related health care services to members and the general public | ||
