| 勵智協進會是由一羣智障人士，家長及義工本著「有所取亦有所給」的精神於1989年組成，並於1991年註冊成為非牟利慈善組織。 | In 1989, Intellectually Disabled Education and Advocacy League was established by a group of volunteers, people with intellectual disability and their parents in the spirit of ‘give and take’. The association was registered as a charity organization in 1991. | ||

| - 激勵智障人士培養獨立的生活能力及意志使能融入社會 - 團結智障人士及家長，互相幫助，互相支持 - 協助智障人士爭取福利及權益 - 使社會真正認識及接受智障人士 | - to develop the potential of intellectually disabled people so that they may become contributing members of society and be integrated into the community - to assist, support and educate parents and their children who have intellectual disability in the realization of their needs and the provision of adequate services - to facilitate the development of advocacy and empowerment within the group - to educate the community in the knowledge and needs of people with intellectual disability | ||
